Filisha Duke is the Founder and CEO of Sure Gig Inc. She is the holder of certifications in Advance Diploma and International Business from Cambridge University. Holder of a Professional Certification in Operations Management Strategy from Metropolitan School of Business Management (UK) and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management at UniCaf University. Ms. Duke was recently awarded an Accolade as a WE3A Accelerator Cohort in the first batch of female entrepreneurs in the country, a program which was geared at empowering and strengthening women-led enterprises across the region.

Experienced business professional with knowledge on the accessibility of the Guyanese workforce, Client Acquisition, Operations, and Project Management. In 2020, after working with an international freight forwarder for 3 years, her company was awarded the management and operational functions of their courier operations in Guyana. She is a Young Leader of the America Initiative (YLAI) 2021 Alumni, representing her country Guyana, and an alumna of AccelerateHer 2021 (conducted by the Centre for Local Business Development).

A quality-driven leader with over 18 years of corporate experience. Entrepreneurial with 7+years of experience and solid history of Shipping and Logistics and Oil and Gas industry success. She has successfully built operations from the ground up with strategic and scalable approaches.

As a female entrepreneur and a people person at heart, Ms. Duke strongly believes in professional and personal development. From the early stages of her company, she has conducted activities to assist youths across Guyana, such initiatives as the “Job Readiness and Self-Development” workshops which was held in region 7 & 3 through a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Youth, Culture & Sports back in 2018. During the pandemic in 2020, she started another initiative called “Creating Champions” which targets the education system. Through kind partnerships, her company was able to distribute school supplies and computers over the last 4 years.
