Shanae is a born and grown Bartican who holds both Bachelor’s & Associate’s Degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Guyana. She is a Field Engineer at SLB using her skills & expertise to support Guyana’s oil and gas operations. Shanae’s passion for women’s equity and equality has seen her being a member of the first cohort of “Girls, Assemble!”, a program inspired by Pink Parliament which intends to increase the capacity of women in parliament as she also has a keen interest in politics with specific focus on Natural Resources. Ms. Heber was also crowned Miss Bartica Regatta 2023 and continues to inspire young women throughout the lengths and breath of Guyana with her ardent personality and grit. When she is not working or studying, she loves to take part in activities that will only add to her career development and growth such as attending events that will increase her knowledge and awareness of different areas of life. She is an avid nature explorer, fond of meeting new people, gaining knowledge, and partaking in women empowerment activities.
